About the Artist
With a brush in hand and compassion in her heart, Debbie Stroman paints moments that matter – family portraits and nature-scapes that reflect a life rich in connection and meaning. Born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire, she eventually found her way west to California, where her deep involvement in Boy Scouts became a cornerstone of her life. It was during Wood Badge training that she met her husband Larry, and together they celebrated their wedding in scout uniforms, surrounded by more than 250 fellow scouters in the Sierra mountains. Over the years, they have guided countless youths and leaders, with both of their sons achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
Debbie's career found new purpose when she became director of Breast Cancer Angels, a role that temporarily paused her painting but deepened her calling to help others. Her dedication to serving those affected by breast cancer became a personal passion and source of strength.
Debbie’s journey into art began later in life.
After 33 years in Costa Mesa, she and Larry retired to Arkansas, where she now paints from her home studio. Debbie’s oil paintings speak to her meticulous brushwork and mindfulness – expressions of joy, resilience, and the beauty found in everyday life.
