 A lifelong California native, Sammy spent decades forging a successful real-estate career and a cleaning service. When a rare genetic condition began to rob her of vision, she reached a life-changing turning point: a painting set gifted by her sister.  Oil painter Debbie Stroman transforms familiar scenes into vibrant explorations of shadow, light, and motion. For her summer debut, Winds of Change harnesses dynamic brushwork and luminous color to evoke the ever-shifting rhythms of life, nature, and the human spirit.

Joy Demain fell in love with color as a child, but her painting journey began twenty‑five years later when she picked up a small watercolor set and surprised herself with what emerged. That moment opened a door she has never closed.

While living in Hawaii, Joy sought out teachers, workshops, and books that deepened her understanding of color, light, and composition. Her work reflects the expressive, joy‑driven style that grew from those years of exploration and her deep sense of aloha.

Beyond her visual art, Joy is an actor, photographer, and accomplished singer whose performances bring warmth, humor, and unforgettable high notes. Her dual artistry — painter and performer — infuses her work with energy and heart.

Joy also accepts commissions and enjoys creating personalized watercolor pieces for collectors.
